A-JOINT® POLYSAND PRO is a water-permeable special joint sand with a weed-inhibiting effect for very narrow joints. It is characterised by its quick and easy application and is ideal for both professional and amateur craftsmen.
Due to its fine grading curve, A-JOINT® POLYSAND PRO is particularly suitable for closely laid interlocking pavers on private terraces and public roads and paths. The joint sand remains permanently flexible and is therefore ideally suited for unbound construction on new and renovated surfaces.
A-JOINT® POLYSAND PRO is low-dust, leaves no binder film on the stone surface and is therefore also suitable for grouting coated and sensitive coverings.

Processing instructions:

Preparing the site
The joints must be cleaned of weeds, roots and loose parts to a depth of at least 30 mm (2/3 of the stone height for traffic load) without leaving any residue. The surface to be grouted must be freed from all dirt. As moisture activates the binder prematurely, the stone surface must be completely dry before and during application. Residual moisture can be dried e.g. with a gas burner or compressed air. To avoid settling and loose stones, we recommend a permanently waterpermeable and load-bearing substrate corresponding to the subsequent load (pay attention to the current standards and guidelines).
Filling the joints:
Open the bucket and spread the contents over the dry surface. Now sweep the joint sand carefully and thoroughly into the joints using a broom. The joints must be completely filled. Carefully clean the stone surface with a fine broom until there are no more residues on the stone surface. Make sure that chamfers (bevelled side edges) on slabs and pavers are exposed.
Pro tip:
If your flooring is suitable for use with a small vibrating plate (with a protective mat if necessary), we recommend additionally vibrating the surface. Then refill the joints that have sagged. Repeat the process if necessary.
Activate binder:
Now spray the entire surface with a fine jet of water (adjustable nozzle). Avoid foaming the binding agent by using too much water pressure. Repeat this process several times until the joints are completely saturated and can no longer absorb any more water. Prevent the joint material from being rinsed out and the formation of puddles and rivulets.
Post-treatment:
At temperatures around 20°C, the surface can be walked on after 3 hours and driven on after 3 days. Complete curing requires the joint to dry completely. Settlement cracks and imperfections can be repaired without great effort.
Important
Technical application notes:
Use A-JOINT® POLYSAND PRO only with a permanently water-permeable substructure or a slope of at least 2%. Do not use in permanent wet areas or in case of waterlogging. Application in outdoor areas is recommended. Cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner (max. 80 bar) should only be carried out at a distance of at least 40 cm. There may be signs of wear or defects in the grouting. These can be repaired with little effort even after years.
Regularly remove dirt, leaves and moss from the joint surface.
